Join our expanding logistics team as a Material Handler in Fort Worth, Texas! This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our warehouse, focusing on the efficient movement and management of materials. You will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, transporting goods within the facility, and ensuring inventory is stored correctly. Safety is our top priority; therefore, adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This position requires physical stamina, the ability to operate material handling equipment, and a commitment to maintaining an organized and secure work environment. As a Material Handler, you contribute directly to the integrity of our supply chain and the timely delivery of products. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, proactive, and possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks and containers safely and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and supplies throughout the warehouse.
- Organize and store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper inventory rotation.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow dispatch and loading instructions accurately.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts or other industrial equipment.
- Certification for equipment operation is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, with a minimum lifting capacity of 60 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Proficiency in basic math and inventory record-keeping.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Commitment to following all safety guidelines and wearing appropriate PPE.
