We are hiring a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk for our Omaha, Nebraska location. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the receiving process. Your responsibilities will include verifying shipments against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately recording all received items into our inventory system. This position is vital for maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record all received inventory into the warehouse management system.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or damaged items to the appropriate personnel.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away or distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Support the logistics team in managing inventory flow.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Perform tasks involving moderate Lifting of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role is preferred.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including Lifting.
- Understanding of Safety practices in a warehouse environment.
- Awareness of the importance of PPE for personal protection.
