In this role, you will be instrumental in the outbound logistics process, ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately documented, packaged, and prepared for transit. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. You'll collaborate closely with various departments to coordinate shipments and maintain meticulous records. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment. Responsibilities:
- Process outgoing shipments, including verifying order details and contents.
- Package items securely and appropriately for transit, selecting correct shipping materials.
- Generate shipping labels and prepare necessary documentation (e.g., bills of lading, customs forms).
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update inventory systems.
- Inspect outgoing goods for quality and accuracy before packaging.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Utilize warehouse equipment safely, including pallet jacks and scanners.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other shipping and receiving duties as needed, including some lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or a related logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and common office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy environment.
- Good physical condition, capable of standing for extended periods and performing moderate lifting.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must be reliable and possess a strong work ethic.
