We are looking for a physically fit and reliable Material Handler to join our San Francisco, California warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility. This includes loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery, stocking inventory, and preparing materials for shipment. A strong commitment to safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. If you have experience with material handling equipment and a dedication to maintaining an organized and safe work environment, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production areas, or shipping/receiving docks.
- Stack and organize materials in designated locations.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure proper working order.
- Assist in maintaining an orderly and clean warehouse environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or safety hazards.
- Support shipping and receiving activities as needed.
- Participate in inventory management and cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks.
- Certification for forklift operation is a strong plus.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
- Must be capable of heavy lifting (up to 60 lbs) regularly.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices in logistics.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
