Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of warehouse staff, providing guidance and training.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
- Implement and enforce all safety regulations, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through effective cycle counting and stock rotation.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to improve efficiency and reduce costs in logistics.
- Monitor productivity and performance metrics, implementing improvements as needed.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and team meetings to promote a safety-conscious culture.
- Train new hires and provide ongoing professional development for team members.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure operational readiness of all warehouse machinery.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse environments.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
