We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse facility. Your primary duties will involve operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack goods. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring that inventory is managed accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to maintain optimal workflow and meet production goals. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount in this position. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport raw materials and finished goods to and from designated areas.
- Stack and arrange products in designated storage locations.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Meet productivity targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
