We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our operations in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all incoming shipments. Your attention to detail will be key to ensuring that our inventory is managed effectively and that our logistics operations run smoothly. You will be the gatekeeper of our warehouse, meticulously checking goods against orders, documenting discrepancies, and preparing items for storage. A commitment to safety and efficiency is essential. This position requires a proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a larger team. Your role is critical in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload all incoming deliveries.
- Inspect goods for any damages or discrepancies and report them immediately.
- Verify received items against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Input receiving data accurately into the company's inventory system.
- Stage and organize incoming merchandise for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, strictly following Safety guidelines.
- Ensure all required PPE is worn correctly at all times.
- Handle tasks requiring Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Support the broader Logistics team in achieving operational objectives.
- Communicate with vendors and shipping partners regarding delivery issues.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a basic understanding of warehouse procedures. Previous experience in receiving or a similar role is beneficial. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing logistics enterprise.
