We are looking for a proactive Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team in Dallas, Texas! This role is essential for ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our logistics hub. You will be responsible for managing materials from receipt to dispatch, including receiving, stocking, picking, and preparing items for shipment. A strong focus on accuracy, speed, and adherence to safety protocols is paramount. We believe in creating a safe and supportive work environment, and we provide thorough training on all operational procedures and the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Inspect incoming goods for quality and quantity accuracy.
- Store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper organization and stock rotation.
- Pick and pack orders accurately according to specific instructions.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, and forklifts (certification may be required).
- Conduct inventory counts and assist with stock reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, free from hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring they are properly secured and labeled.
- Wear and properly use all required PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency with manual and powered material handling equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Commitment to workplace safety and strict adherence to PPE requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent is desirable.
