Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and motivated Material Handler to join our growing logistics operations in Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be instrumental in the smooth flow of materials throughout our distribution center. Your responsibilities will encompass receiving, identifying, sorting, staging, and shipping materials. This position demands physical stamina, excellent organizational skills, and a strong commitment to safety. You'll be part of a team dedicated to efficiency and accuracy, ensuring that our supply chain runs seamlessly. We believe in fostering a secure work environment and provide comprehensive training, including proper material handling techniques and the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage.
  • Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in designated storage areas.
  • Pick and prepare materials for shipment, ensuring correct quantities and product codes.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed (certification may be required).
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and participate in cycle counting.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
  • Follow all established safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.

Qualifications:
  • Previous warehouse or material handling experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform strenuous tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency in using pallet jacks and other manual lifting equipment.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be comfortable working in a warehouse setting with varying temperatures.
  • Willingness to wear required PPE at all times.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to all company guidelines.
