As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and organization of goods within our state-of-the-art warehouse facility. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing materials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all operations. This position requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace. You will be interacting with various team members and potentially operating equipment, making clear communication and teamwork essential. We emphasize a strong safety culture and provide all necessary training and PPE to ensure your well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory for damage and discrepancies.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
- Pick and pack orders accurately based on shipping requirements.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, as needed and certified.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and logistics.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety guidelines.
