This critical role ensures that all inventory entering our facility is accurately accounted for, inspected, and properly stored. You will be responsible for verifying shipments against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and updating inventory systems. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy are essential. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Document all receiving activities accurately in the inventory management system.
- Tag and label received items appropriately.
- Stage received goods for put-away into warehouse storage locations.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Assist with occasional lifting tasks, up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or warehousing.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and data entry.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and moderate lifting.
- Understanding of basic logistics and inventory principles.
- Commitment to safety and willingness to wear required PPE.
