Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated warehouse locations using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Store materials in an organized and safe manner.
- Receive incoming materials, verify quantities, and inspect for damage.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring proper handling and staging.
- Maintain inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with training.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Participate in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Be prepared for significant lifting requirements, potentially exceeding 60 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment; certification preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing/walking.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Commitment to using PPE at all times.
