Are you detail-oriented and organized? We're looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is critical for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our inventory, ensuring that our logistics operations run seamlessly. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting regular audits, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions. This position requires a sharp mind, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to upholding Safety standards within the warehouse. We provide all necessary PPE and expect strict adherence to our Safety protocols. While this role may involve some Lifting and movement of goods, the primary focus is on data accuracy and inventory management. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using WMS and ERP systems.
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement and manage inventory control procedures and policies.
- Coordinate with receiving, stocking, and shipping departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Assist with the physical movement of inventory as needed, adhering to Lifting guidelines.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, accuracy, and variances.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of warehouse logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting if required.
- Good communication and organizational abilities.
- Commitment to following PPE protocols.
