We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Dallas, Texas. This role is essential for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently, meeting all deadlines. You will be responsible for preparing shipments, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate shipping records. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to workplace safety. You will work within a dynamic warehouse environment, playing a key part in our supply chain operations. Your diligence in this role ensures that our products reach our customers in a timely and correct manner.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including verifying contents against orders and packing lists.
- Generate shipping labels and necessary documentation for various carriers.
- Schedule pickups with shipping carriers and coordinate logistics.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including tracking information.
- Communicate with internal departments and external carriers regarding shipment status.
- Ensure the shipping area is organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards.
- Perform lifting tasks as required, up to 40 lbs.
- Wear required PPE, such as safety vests and gloves, to ensure personal safety.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and logistics.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar warehouse/logistics role is highly desirable. Proficiency in using shipping software and standard office equipment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to perform lifting up to 40 lbs. Knowledge of shipping regulations and carrier requirements. Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. This role is integral to our logistics operations, and we are looking for reliable and proactive individuals.
