We are hiring a diligent Shipping Clerk for our facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a crucial role in the outbound logistics process, ensuring that all shipments are accurately prepared, documented, and dispatched on time. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for verifying shipping orders, selecting appropriate packaging materials, preparing shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and logistics is essential. This role requires accuracy in documentation to ensure smooth transit and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include checking outgoing orders for accuracy, weighing and measuring packages, generating shipping documents, and scheduling carrier pickups. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized shipping area. This position involves some lifting of up to 30 lbs and prolonged standing. We are committed to providing a safe working environment; therefore, strict adherence to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is required. Responsibilities:
