We are looking for a diligent and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and condition of our inventory. You will be responsible for developing and implementing inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, and managing discrepancies to maintain optimal stock levels. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems and logistics operations. Your contributions will directly impact our supply chain efficiency and profitability. Key duties include establishing and maintaining inventory record accuracy, analyzing inventory data to identify trends, investigating root causes of inventory issues, and recommending corrective actions. You will also be involved in receiving and shipping reconciliation, cycle counting, and supporting physical inventories. Experience with WMS software is highly desirable. This position may involve lifting up to 35 lbs occasionally. We maintain a strong commitment to a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is strictly enforced. Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Investigate root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure the accuracy of inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Reconcile incoming shipments and outgoing orders against inventory records.
- Monitor stock levels and advise on replenishment needs.
- Manage the process for damaged, obsolete, or returned goods.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Enforce safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE.
