Job Summary:
Our growing logistics operation in Nashville, Tennessee, is seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist. This role is paramount to maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring the smooth flow of goods, and optimizing warehouse efficiency. You will be responsible for managing stock levels, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to improve inventory accuracy. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment are essential. Your work will directly impact our ability to fulfill orders accurately and on time. We prioritize safety in all aspects of our operations and require all employees to adhere to stringent safety protocols and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While not heavily physical, the role may require occasional lifting. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all inventory control procedures within the warehouse.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory data in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Implement best practices for inventory accuracy and stock rotation.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on potential shortages or overages.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
  • Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to resolve inventory issues.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and use required PPE.
  • Assist in developing and implementing improved inventory control processes.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, preferably within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and commitment to wearing PPE.
  • Good organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a team.
  • Experience with physical inventory counting and audits.
