This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently processed. You'll be responsible for locating specified items on the warehouse floor, carefully packing them for shipment, and preparing orders for dispatch. Accuracy, speed, and a strong commitment to safety are key components of this position. You will work in a team-oriented environment, contributing to the overall productivity and success of the distribution center. We emphasize a culture of safety, requiring all team members to adhere to strict guidelines and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all tasks. Regular lifting and movement of goods are part of the daily routine, with packages potentially weighing up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Select products from warehouse shelves according to order tickets.
- Verify product accuracy and quantities before packing.
- Pack items safely and appropriately for transit.
- Apply shipping labels and other necessary documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow all safety protocols and utilize required PPE.
- Assist with stock put-away and inventory checks.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet daily shipping goals.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in picking/packing or warehouse roles is beneficial.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
- Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to wear mandated PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable attendance and work ethic.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles is a plus.
