We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Coordinator to join our dynamic logistics team in San Jose, California. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. You will be instrumental in coordinating the flow of goods, managing shipping and receiving activities, and supervising warehouse staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of warehouse management systems, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and operational excellence. This role requires effective communication and problem-solving abilities to address any challenges that arise in a fast-paced environment. Your contribution will be critical to the smooth functioning of our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
- Coordinate daily workflows, assign tasks to warehouse personnel, and monitor performance.
- Ensure accurate inventory counts and manage stock rotation.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Manage shipping and receiving schedules, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of goods.
- Maintain strong communication with other departments, suppliers, and logistics partners.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety guidelines, and equipment operation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure all team members are equipped with and properly use required PPE.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator or in a similar logistics role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management principles and inventory control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse management software (WMS).
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a physically demanding environment requiring frequent Lifting.
- Commitment to a culture of Safety.
