We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Distribution Center Associate to join our dynamic team in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of goods through our state-of-the-art distribution center. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, processing, and shipping merchandise. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow within the logistics industry and contribute to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to meet daily operational goals and maintain high standards of performance.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damages.
- Sort, categorize, and store inventory accurately in designated locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to specifications.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required), to move materials efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and assist with stock rotation.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors to support overall logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is beneficial.
- Must be reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of basic logistics principles is advantageous.
