We are seeking a motivated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement and organization of materials within our warehouse facility. Your primary duties will include receiving, unloading, and staging incoming shipments, as well as picking, packing, and preparing outgoing orders for shipment. This position is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring the smooth flow of inventory and timely delivery of goods to our customers. You will work closely with other warehouse staff and management to maintain an efficient and organized workspace. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and shipments.
- Verify quantities and quality against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other equipment.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders accurately for outgoing shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse safety protocols.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and quality control.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding inventory levels and any discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Understanding of safety procedures and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
