We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders and preparing them for shipment. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring timely and correct delivery of products to our valued customers. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, utilizing handheld scanners and other equipment to fulfill orders efficiently. Attention to detail is paramount to minimize errors and maintain customer satisfaction. Your primary focus will be on order accuracy and efficient packing to meet daily targets. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. We prioritize safety in all our operations, and all employees are expected to adhere to strict safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting is essential for this role, as you will be moving products of various sizes and weights throughout your shift. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using pick lists or scanners.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist with inventory management as needed.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding order status and potential issues.
- Meet or exceed daily productivity and accuracy goals.
- Perform required lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order instructions.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment requiring frequent bending, stooping, and lifting.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the use of PPE is required.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- A commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all logistics guidelines.
