Job Summary:
Our St. Louis, Missouri distribution center seeks a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse stock. This critical role ensures that our inventory data is precise and up-to-date, supporting efficient logistics and order fulfillment. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, managing stock rotation, and implementing best practices for inventory management. A strong understanding of warehouse operations, keen analytical skills, and a commitment to safety are essential. You will work closely with the warehouse team, providing support and ensuring adherence to all safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels, manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO), and identify slow-moving items.
  • Identify and report damaged or expired goods.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse layout.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Knowledge of logistics principles and supply chain best practices.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety and procedures.
