Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our inventory in Atlanta, Georgia. In this vital role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counting, stock adjustments, discrepancy resolution, and ensuring optimal stock levels. Your efforts are crucial for maintaining the efficiency of our Logistics operations and minimizing stockouts or overstock situations. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to implement best practices in inventory control and Safety . The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience with inventory management systems. This position may involve some physical activity, including walking the warehouse floor and occasional Lifting of items up to 30 lbs, while adhering to all Safety protocols and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE ). Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder points.
  • Identify and report damaged or obsolete stock.
  • Collaborate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with all warehouse Safety regulations.
  • Wear appropriate PPE as required.
  • Assist with Lifting and moving inventory when necessary for counts.
  • Contribute to efficient Logistics through accurate inventory management.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
  • Proficiency with WMS and inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of Logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
  • Ability to perform occasional Lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Willingness to wear required PPE .
