We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators to join our logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, load, unload, and store materials within our warehouse. Your expertise in forklift operation is critical to maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring timely order fulfillment. You will work closely with warehouse associates and supervisors to manage inventory and support daily operations. This position demands precision, vigilance, and a strong commitment to Safety. We provide a secure work environment and expect all operators to follow stringent Safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe Lifting guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) to move pallets, equipment, and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and trailers accurately and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, ensuring proper placement.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or damage immediately to maintenance and supervision.
- Stack and organize materials in a safe and stable manner, adhering to height and weight restrictions.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away, retrieval, and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, practicing good housekeeping.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including traffic rules within the warehouse.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while operating equipment or in designated areas.
- Follow all guidelines for safe Lifting and material handling when not operating a forklift.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification or license is required. Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional moderate Lifting. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. A demonstrated commitment to Safety and a proven track record of safe operation. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and follow all PPE requirements.
