We are looking for dedicated Order Pickers to join our distribution center in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is essential for ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating, retrieving, and preparing items for shipment. You will utilize scanning technology and pick lists to gather products, ensuring that each order is correct and ready for the next stage of the logistics process. This is an active role requiring focus, speed, and precision. We prioritize a safe working environment and provide all necessary training, including on proper Lifting techniques and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse stock according to digital or paper order sheets.
- Use RF scanners or other technology to identify and confirm product locations and quantities.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details before proceeding.
- Transport picked goods to designated packing or staging areas.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks to move inventory safely.
- Maintain an orderly and clean work environment to enhance efficiency and Safety.
- Follow all company protocols for handling and storing merchandise.
- Adhere to strict Safety guidelines, including wearing required PPE at all times.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock checks as directed.
- Practice safe Lifting techniques to prevent personal injury and damage to goods.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking and shipping goals within the logistics framework.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a warehouse, order picking, or similar role is beneficial. Ability to perform repetitive Lifting and to stand or walk for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment. Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics is helpful. Must be capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A strong commitment to Safety is mandatory. Willingness to wear all required PPE, such as safety glasses and vests.
