Frequent lifting and standing for extended periods are part of the daily routine, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Experience in a logistics or warehouse setting is advantageous. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order slips.
- Use RF scanners or other picking technology to locate and record items.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Verify picked items against order details for accuracy.
- Maintain organized and clean picking routes.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Meet productivity and accuracy targets.
- Perform quality checks on picked items.
- Assist with stocking and replenishing inventory as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or issues encountered during picking.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively with the team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety guidelines and the importance of PPE.
