Join our dynamic team in New York City, New York, as a Shipping Clerk! We are seeking a meticulous and organized individual to manage the efficient flow of outgoing goods from our facility. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipments, verifying order accuracy against documentation, accurately labeling packages, and coordinating with shipping carriers. This role is a critical component of our Logistics chain, ensuring that our products reach our customers promptly and without error. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Adherence to all Safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. While the role is primarily clerical, occasional Lifting of boxes up to 30 lbs may be required. You will be instrumental in ensuring customer satisfaction through accurate and timely deliveries. - Processing outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verifying order contents against shipping manifests and customer orders.
- Applying correct shipping labels and preparing customs documentation when necessary.
- Coordinating with various shipping carriers for pickup scheduling and tracking.
- Maintaining detailed records of all shipments.
- Ensuring the shipping area is kept clean, organized, and compliant with Safety standards.
- Utilizing appropriate PPE during all warehouse operations.
- Communicating effectively with internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Following all company Lifting policies.
- Contributing to the seamless operation of our Logistics department.
- Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed.
