Role - Backend Engineer (Mid-Senior)
Salary - $125,000 - $160,000

About the Role
A well funded, early stage AI startup is hiring a Mid to Senior Backend Engineer to help build and scale the core infrastructure behind a next generation AI assistant used in legal workflows.
This is a proper hands on build role with real ownership, working closely with founders, ML engineers, and product, in a fast moving environment where strong engineering judgment matters just as much as technical ability.
Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain backend systems powering core product features Deliver concurrency heavy systems supporting real time workflows Collaborate closely with ML and AI engineers to integrate intelligent processes Build with security, scalability, and performance in mind from day one Own features end to end, from concept through to production Contribute to architecture decisions and long term technical direction What We're Looking For
Strong backend engineering fundamentals Experience with
Go (Golang)
or
Rust Comfortable working in a fast paced, early stage startup environment Ownership mindset, you build it, you run it Strong collaboration skills, this is an onsite role Experience with
AWS
is beneficial Exposure to
LangGraph
is a plus Background in
C++ or C#
is also relevant, with the opportunity to learn Go or Rust What's on Offer
