Job Summary
The Information Security Architect will serve as a senior contributor responsible for designing secure cloud architectures, performing system threat modeling, identifying security vulnerabilities, and recommending effective mitigation strategies.
This role requires strong knowledge of cloud security, modern security threats, and enterprise security frameworks.
The individual will partner with technical and business teams to develop secure solutions, simplify complex security concepts, and align architecture decisions with organizational security standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and produce system threat models for the integration of commercial components into a data platform. Review cloud architectures with a security-focused perspective and recommend effective security controls. Identify and propose mitigations for vulnerabilities across applications and cloud environments. Consult with solution architects and development teams to align security needs with organizational policies and standards. Review and support creation of secure application and infrastructure designs and architectural patterns. Analyze threat models, assess business impact, and evaluate exposure based on emerging security threats and vulnerabilities. Evaluate CI/CD pipeline designs and support the enhancement of secure development practices. Assist in the selection and integration of security tools within development and operational processes. Foster constructive discussions across technical and business teams to support secure solution delivery. Communicate complex security topics clearly for decision-making and risk understanding. Support secure architecture practices across distributed teams and multiple time zones. Continuously enhance knowledge and skills relevant to security architecture and cloud technologies. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, security architecture, or related technical fields. Experience with AWS cloud environments. Experience securing workloads in cloud environments. Knowledge of platforms such as Databricks, Starburst, Collibra, or Immuta is advantageous. Ability to design secure AWS cloud architectures. Strong understanding of current security threats, techniques, and the broader security landscape. Experience performing system threat modeling for applications and platforms. Ability to identify security vulnerabilities and provide practical mitigation recommendations. Ability to simplify complex security topics for business and technical audiences. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead discussions and collaborate with technical and business teams. Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST 800-53. Ability to work effectively with geographically distributed teams. Familiarity with SAFe is a plus. Preferred Qualifications
Experience integrating security tooling into development and operations workflows. Experience evaluating, guiding, and securing CI/CD pipelines. Experience in enterprise-level cloud security architecture. Certifications
Cloud or enterprise security architecture certifications such as GCAD or GDSA (advantageous).
