We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing quality care to our patients. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing patient assessments, cleaning teeth, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices.
*Day/Hours:*
* Fridays: 8:00a-4:00p
*Responsibilities*
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs.
- Perform dental cleanings and apply preventive materials as needed.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical coding for procedures performed.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies to enhance patient care.
*Experience*
- Previous experience in dental hygiene is preferred.
- Proficiency in dental imaging techniques and understanding of medical terminology is advantageous.
- Familiarity with general dentistry practices and procedures is essential.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
