Serves as an architect, implementer and top tier support provider for network/server infrastructure and applications. The Network Engineer's role is to plan, design, develop, launch and support the underlying voice and data infrastructure for all government and enterprise areas. The Network Engineer is responsible for leading technical staff in their efforts to design, build and support LAN and WAN systems including internet and SD-WAN, VPN technologies, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, SMTP, and email systems. This includes analysis, design, delivery and support of security systems such as backup and recovery, disaster recovery, virus protection, firewall edge protection, edge and core content filters and data access controls. The Network Engineer is also responsible for cross training IT technicians at all levels to ensure they grow their understanding allowing them to add quality to the IT support and delivery of services. This position will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments. Bachelor's Degree and five years of experience in support of LAN, WAN and Internet delivery or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a demonstrated expertise with Cisco routers, Cisco switches, HPE Juniper Networking, Windows, Office, Email, VOIP, and end-to-end security management. CCNA, Network + Must have valid California driver's license and be insurable on Morongo's vehicle insurance. On-call availability.
