The Enterprise Network Engineer II's scope of responsibility includes providing primary support for the operation of enterprise-level technology used by enterprise-wide mission-critical systems and infrastructure. This position may also assist with training team members and managing technical projects. Discretion and sound judgment is expected. Enterprise positions are restricted for use in central IT Division areas reporting to the institutional CIO and, as such, may interface with key IT leadership and/or other functional leadership from Texas Tech University System institutions.
Major/Essential Functions
Maintain, support & install TTUHSC Network, audio-visual, and conferencing infrastructure Facilitates AV/IT projects on the Abilene Campus Maintain Technical Skills and knowledge Configure & maintain all network and AV equipment and related servers Detect & diagnose telecommunication systems and component malfunctions/failures, and work with service providers to ensure timely service restorations Prototyping, testing, and certifying communication processes and services Position will require a strong ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives Exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities Establish and maintain good working relationships with fellow employees, HSC staff and students Preferred Qualifications
Experience in successfully directing telecommunications and audio-visual projects to completion. Experience in performing equipment installations in a variety of facilities and locations. Experience in Information Technology in higher education or healthcare industries. Pay Statement
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan website at .

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, or other related area plus one (1) year related full-time paid experience OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five (5) years. Applicants for this position will be subject to a criminal background check after a conditional offer of employment has been extended, but before employment can be confirmed.
In accordance with Texas Executive Order GA-48 and applicable state or federal law, this position may involve access to, work on, or conduct research involving critical infrastructure. It will require background checks, including, but not limited to, criminal history and other security-related screenings. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of these checks.
