Summary: Join our dynamic Data Engineering team as a leader and collaborate with talented Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers. You'll play a crucial role in supporting product launches and roadmaps by building insightful data architectures that directly impact company growth and user satisfaction. Work with an extensive data set, leverage cutting-edge technologies, and witness the tangible effects of your efforts on products and people every day. Key Responsibilities: Define and drive the mission and strategy for Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing across product verticals.
Build and lead a high-performing BI and Data Warehousing team designed for scalability.
Foster cross-functional relationships with stakeholders to identify and fulfill data needs effectively.
Oversee data warehouse plans, driving data quality and ensuring operational efficiency.
Design, construct, and launch innovative data models and production pipelines.
Deliver impactful dashboards and data visualizations that facilitate decision-making.
Establish and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all data sets and production processes.
Enhance efficiency and speed while providing project management leadership and a visionary approach for BI to add proactive value to the company.
Minimum Qualifications: At least 4 years of experience in applied analytics (2+ years with a Ph.D.), including a minimum of 2 years managing analytics teams.
8+ years in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing.
A minimum of 2 years managing teams of 3 or more individuals.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other technical disciplines.
Proven experience in initiating and completing BI or data warehousing projects independently.
Strong communication skills with a track record of conveying analytical results to executive leadership.
Project management experience.
Data architecture experience.
Proficiency in data querying languages (e.g., SQL) and development in at least one object-oriented programming language (Python, Java, etc.).
Experience collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering, and Product Management.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working on cross-functional teams encompassing Data Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering, and Product Management.
Familiarity with Big Data technologies, Hadoop, and data visualization tools.
Advanced degree (e.g., Master of Science, PhD).
Experience working with user-facing products.
Public Compensation: $177,000/year to $247,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits. Industry:
