Job Description Join our innovative team as a Lead Database Systems Administrator, where you'll have the unique opportunity to build, manage, and secure Oracle databases and Exadata infrastructure in both Production and Non-Production environments, including VMs in OCI. Your expertise will be crucial in investigating complex issues, managing capacity, and discovering automation opportunities to bolster our systems' efficiency. You will play a pivotal role in triaging database alerts, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective measures to ensure peak database performance. Additionally, you'll manage both Non-Production and Production Standby databases and Golden Gate while mentoring your team members and enhancing communication with leadership, clients, and peers. In this role, you will have the chance to develop and standardize policies and best practices in line with industry benchmarks and cyber requirements. Key Responsibilities Triage and troubleshoot complex database alerts and issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions while constantly seeking automation opportunities.
Implement and maintain advanced database security measures in compliance with DISA STIGs.
Conduct proactive database forecasting to anticipate future needs.
Establish and uphold best practices for all facets of database management, including architecture, security, and automation.
Stay abreast of industry trends and align practices with MAA best practices.
Communicate effectively with peers, leadership, and clients to ensure clarity and alignment on projects and requirements.
Consult with development teams on optimal data architectures and database capabilities.
Evaluate and implement technological enhancements to improve database system availability and performance through automation.
Lead the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans for database technologies and cloud databases.
Contribute to strategic projects aimed at transitioning on-premises databases to Oracle Cloud.
Plan strategies for migrating databases to the Autonomous Database for optimal performance.
Collaborate with multiple teams, actively engaging in the execution of roadmap projects.
Disclaimer: Certain customer-facing roles may require compliance with applicable health mandates. The hiring range for this position in the United States is $87,000 to $178,100 per annum, with eligibility for bonuses and equity.
