Job Overview: As a Telecom Circuit Design Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in assessing, planning, and implementing state-of-the-art telecommunications network designs to meet mission-critical needs. Join us in transitioning from legacy copper systems to innovative technologies, creating scalable and efficient telecommunications architectures while documenting solutions that enhance engineering and NOC operations. Collaborate with both internal and external teams, independently manage significant projects, and lead proof-of-concept initiatives for emerging services. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate telecommunications technologies and design solutions to align with the network's critical infrastructure and service requirements. Architect and develop next-generation telco services to replace outdated copper solutions with modern, scalable alternatives. Deliver customized network implementations that address dynamic customer needs and support long-term strategic goals. Establish best practices in network design, capacity planning, and service continuity for mission-critical operations. Manage the telco design release lifecycle to ensure timely delivery and alignment with program milestones. Engage in after-action reviews to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges. Create and maintain thorough documentation for engineering and NOC teams. Identify opportunities for automation and network optimization. Oversee the telco design release workflow to adhere to implementation schedules. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical discipline. A minimum of 4 years of experience in WAN Telecommunications networks, or 2 years with an Associate's Degree and 8 years of experience. Highly motivated with the ability to follow detailed instructions and action plans. Strong teamwork skills paired with self-direction and motivation. Project management skills with the capability to meet deadlines and complete tasks as per project schedules. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with engineering drawings and technical procedures. Knowledge of the Telecommunications industry, including carrier services, provisioning terminology, and expertise in CISCO routers and network infrastructure along with IP technologies like Pseudo Wire and Ethernet switching. Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in designing and implementing network technologies such as SONET, Carrier Ethernet, LTE, etc. Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and support Ethernet and TDM network infrastructures. Knowledge of IP technologies like Pseudo Wire and Ethernet switching. Familiarity with telecommunications carrier ordering systems and processes. Understanding of WAN/LAN, TDM, and Voice switching systems; TCP/IP, with knowledge of specific routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and RIP; VoIP, DWDM, CTI, and VPN technologies. Experience with leading network vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, or RAD. Proficiency in database modeling software such as MetaSolv.
