Clearance:Active DoD Secret Clearance
Work Schedule:Onsite, Full-time, Monday–Friday
Role Overview:
The Systems Administrator I supports IT systems used to execute program operations. This role assists with account management, access controls, and system availability in compliance with DoD security requirements.
Responsibilities include supporting CAC/ECA access, maintaining system accounts, assisting with cybersecurity compliance, and supporting government systems connectivity.
General Skillset
Experience with Microsoft Office
Verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work both collaboratively and individually
Critical Thinking Skills
Ability to give presentations and briefings as needed
Specific Skillset
Basic understanding of Windows and/or Linux server administration
Familiarity with Active Directory, user account management, and permissions
Experience with system monitoring and troubleshooting techniques
Knowledge of network fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
Ability to perform system backups, updates, and patch management
Understanding of security best practices in a DoD environment
Ability to follow documentation and standard operating procedures
Requirements
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (required)
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (preferred)
Experience Requirements
3+ years experience as a system or network administrator
Familiarity with CAC, PKI, and DoD IT environments
