Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services is seeking an Application Developer II. This position will be responsible for the following: performing complex assignments often requiring the development of new or improved applications, processes or techniques. Work with a team for application design, development, evaluation and implementation. Works on and solves moderately complex problems where analysis or applications or data requires in depth evaluation of various factors. Provides complex technical support in relevant field of discipline. They will also be responsible for assisting with maintaining interfaces between agency applications, performing scheduled tasks such as running batch processes for the finance department, working with other agencies to receive and import data into our case management system, providing support on agency applications, working closely with other Application Developers and the Database Administrator to provide data via reporting and business intelligence reporting tools, and work with the team to keep application upgrades current. What you'll need to be Successful:
To be successful in this position you need knowledge on all areas of application development, programming and databases including but not limited to MS Visual , , , MS SQL Server databases, MS SQL coding, MS PowerBI, Tableau, SharePoint Online, MS Power Apps and Power Automate, and other application development software. You will also need good communication skills, the ability to work with a team, to be a self-starter, and the ability/willingness to learn new technologies. Preferred Qualifications:
Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 2-5+ years of IT experience with emphasis in applications development and support. Agency preferred qualifications: Experience in MS Visual Studio, , MS PowerBI, Tableau, SharePoint, and MS SQL Server is preferred.
