Description Leidos is seeking a talented and experienced
Senior SharePoint Systems Administrator
to join our dynamic team, supporting a large-scale IT contract for the Department of Defense (DOD). In this role, you will be instrumental in providing infrastructure services, operations, and maintenance across various classified environments, managing server farms from centralized data centers. Your expertise will help deploy and maintain SharePoint services, ensuring robust functionalities for our users. Your responsibilities will include: Interacting with site and collection owners to address service inquiries and resolve issues. Implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining IT systems effectively. Distinguishing between isolated user issues and enterprise-wide problems swiftly. Developing innovative solutions for complex challenges while updating Knowledge Articles and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Overseeing SharePoint projects, including upgrades and capability expansions. Integrating Identity Management (IdAM) technologies seamlessly. Assisting users with migration from older versions of SharePoint to SharePoint 2019 or SharePoint Online. Managing permissions for site collections and associated content. Controlling access to O365/M365 applications like Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online. Conducting data searches and purges as part of cyber security and compliance initiatives. Enhancing stakeholder insight by managing asset libraries, risk databases, and business rhythm calendars. Collecting data and conducting analyses to assist with incident resolutions and customer needs. Providing comprehensive follow-up reports for root cause analyses and process improvement initiatives. Supporting 24/7/365 mission requirements and offering assistance during after-hours. Updating operational documentation to assist IT Operations Center personnel with troubleshooting. Basic Qualifications Extensive experience with SharePoint technologies, including SharePoint 2013, 2016, 2019, and SharePoint Online. Proficient in configuring, installing, and securing SharePoint systems. Experience managing SQL clusters in support of SharePoint operations. Knowledge of PKI and claims-based authentication protocols. Familiarity with load balancers such as F5 BigIP or Citrix NetScaler. Experience managing M365/O365 cloud services. Proven ability in performing patch maintenance for SharePoint environments. Strong process management skills related to change management. Deep understanding of Tier 2 and Tier 3 system administration. Capable of troubleshooting in a fast-paced, growing environment. Exceptional time management and communication skills, both written and oral. Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) ticketing systems like ServiceNow. Education: Bachelor's degree with 12-15 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 10-13 years of experience. A Doctorate in a technical domain may also be considered. Certifications: Must meet DoDM 8140.03 or DoD 8570 certification requirements (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or equivalent). Relevant certifications in VMware or Windows Server Administration are beneficial. Clearance: U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of government contracts. TS/SCI with CI Poly required, or TS/SCI with willingness to complete a polygraph. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Nintex, InfoPath, or PowerBI. Experience with SPPatchify for managing large SharePoint farms. Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert or equivalent certification.
