Job Description
Senior Project Manager
Overview:
Vasko Electric is a well-established commercial electrical contractor serving Northern California and Nevada for over 43 years. We perform work across a broad range of markets, including commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, data/technology, and public works, delivering projects through design-build, design-assist, and plan-spec delivery methods.
Vasko Electric is a place for experienced construction leaders who want to take ownership of their work and build a long-term career with a company that values performance, relationships, and trust. Senior Project Managers are given real responsibility, projects, clients, results and are rewarded for the success they help create.
Ownership is actively involved and accessible, providing support, guidance, and alignment to help teams reach their goals. Decisions are made with a long-term mindset, and leadership is engaged in removing obstacles, supporting growth, and setting teams up for success.
Senior Project Managers work closely with Estimating, Purchasing, and Field Operations to ensure the right resources, labor, materials, and support are in place to execute projects successfully. In partnership with Superintendents and field leadership, Sr. PMs address production and safety challenges in real time, keep work moving, and deliver consistent results. This is an opportunity to grow alongside a stable, well-run organization, build lasting client relationships, and share in the upside of the work you help deliver.
Responsibilities & Duties:
· Own projects from award through closeout, delivering schedule certainty, margin performance, and quality execution.
· Control project financials through disciplined forecasting, cost-to-complete ownership, and monthly performance reviews.
· Drive cash flow by producing accurate monthly billings and closing change orders quickly and completely.
· Capture change order value by pricing, negotiating, tracking, and billing work without delay.
· Partner with Field Operations, Superintendents, and Foremen to improve production, staffing, and jobsite execution.
· Address productivity, constructability, and safety concerns on-site through active field engagement.
· Lead field execution through consistent jobsite presence and direct coordination with supervision.
· Direct subcontractors, vendors, and material procurement to keep projects staffed, supplied, and moving.
· Prevent schedule impacts by proactively managing labor planning and material deliveries.
· Own client relationships end-to-end and convert trust into repeat and negotiated work.
· Pursue prime negotiated opportunities in partnership with estimating and leadership.
· Lead preconstruction efforts and transition negotiated work into execution with full accountability for results.
· Grow backlog and personal earnings by delivering high-performing projects and satisfied clients.
· Develop junior PMs and engineers through direct mentorship and leadership by example.
· Enforce safety expectations and resolve risks in coordination with field leadership.
· Maintain clean, accurate project documentation to support execution, risk management, and claims defense.
· Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and a long-term ownership mindset.
Qualifications:
· 7+ years of electrical project management experience on commercial and/or industrial construction projects.
· Demonstrated experience managing projects with contract values of $5 million and above.
· Proven ability to lead projects from award through closeout, with full responsibility for schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction.
· Demonstrated experience managing project financials, including forecasting, cost-to-complete, billing, and change orders.
· Strong track record of owning client relationships and generating repeat or negotiated work.
· Hands-on experience working closely with Field Operations, Superintendents, and Foremen to address production, staffing, and jobsite safety.
· Ability to train, mentor, and develop junior Project Managers and Project Engineers while coordinating effectively with estimating, purchasing, and field teams.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation
· Competitive base salary with a performance-based compensation structure. Senior Project Managers earn $140,000–$180,000+ annually, based on project performance and workload.
Benefits

· Comprehensive health insurance coverage
· Dental insurance coverage
· 401(k) matching program that exceeds industry averages
· Profit sharing program aligned with company performance
· Paid vacation time to support work–life balance
