get rewarded when they join the team A collaborative team culture where people thrive together and a place where you can be your true authentic self About The Role As Sales Executive for The Derby London City, you will support the growth of the hotels Groups, Conference & Events business by managing inbound enquiries and converting them into confirmed revenue. Working closely with the Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing, you will deliver tailored proposals, manage the full sales cycle from enquiry to contracting, and ensure every client interaction reflects the hotels unique lifestyle positioning. You will build strong relationships with corporate bookers, event agencies and local businesses, while working closely with operational teams to ensure seamless delivery of meetings, residential groups and corporate social events. Key Responsibilities Manage inbound meetings, events and small group enquiries from qualification through to contracting. Produce compelling, tailored proposals that reflect the hotels positioning and maximise conversion. Build strong relationships with corporate bookers, event agencies and local businesses. Conduct engaging site inspections showcasing the hotels meeting and event spaces. Maintain accurate records and enquiry pipelines within sales systems such as Delphi or Salesforce. Work closely with Revenue, Reservations, Front Office and F&B teams to ensure seamless event handovers. Maximise revenue opportunities through effective qualification, negotiation and upselling of bedrooms, catering and event services. Maintain strong knowledge of hotel facilities, catering options and competitor venues within the London market. Support the achievement of meetings and events revenue targets through proactive follow-up and pipeline management. Key Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling proposals. Strong relationship-building skills and confident client presentation abilities. Highly organised with strong attention to detail and time management. Ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities in a fast-paced sales environment. Confident presenting hotel spaces and services during site inspections. About You 12 years experience in hotel sales, events sales, reservations, or a similar hospitality role. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive proposals. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines. Strong relationship-building skills and confidence when presenting event spaces to clients. Good understanding of meetings and events processes within a hotel environment. Commercial awareness with an understanding of pricing, availability and upselling opportunities. Experience using CRM or enquiry management systems such as Delphi, Salesforce or similar platforms is advantageous. Experience within a 4* or 5* hotel or lifestyle hospitality environment, or knowledge of the City of London corporate market, would be beneficial.
