The Desktop Support Administrator is responsible for providing first and second level of operational support for infrastructure systems, networks, telecommunications, video conferencing and services in the Operations and Technology Center in Bemidji, MN. This includes installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the Microsoft Windows and Mac OS desktop and notebook computers, peripherals, iPads, and associated peripherals including AV equipment. This position will be with Stratacor, an affiliate of Delta Dental of Minnesota. Essential Functions
Provide Level 1 and Level 2 helpdesk support to company users during core business hours and after hours support as needed Set up, maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS desktop and notebook computers using system-imaging software Document issue resolution using the helpdesk ticketing system Maintain excellent communication with all end users and other members of the Technology Department Research, test, configure and software Set up, maintain and troubleshoot Apple iPad and iPhones Set up and configure printers, scanners and other peripherals Set up and maintain audio visual equipment and provide on-site meeting support Maintain inventory of all hardware and software resources Work with outside vendors as needed Willingness to train employees on various IT topics Execute other assigned tasks or projects as assigned This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the team member. Required: Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical people Ability to recognize, analyze and effectively solve problems in a timely organized manner using industry best practices and procedures Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Education and Experience: 5+ years set up, configuration, troubleshooting of desktop/notebook hardware and software (Windows and Mac OS) Experience with Windows and MacOS desktops and netbooks, as well as ios devices, in an Active Directory environment Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office 2013/2016, Microsfot Office 2011 for Mac, Office 365, WDS (Windows Development Server), Romgar, ShoreTel, Cisco, JAMF, Casper Suite, LifeSize, Polycom., SCCM, SCCOM, both Apple and PC environments and basic understanding of networking and TCP troubleshooting. The starting salary range for this position is $29.00 TO $36.00 per hour. Salary offers will typically be made in the listed range.
