Foundations, Settlements and Transfers team , you will help shape Coinbase's financial infrastructure, ensuring the secure and efficient transfer of funds. This team manages transactions involving fiat, cryptocurrency, and internal ledgers, directly handling client assets. You will guide the technical direction and mentor junior engineers while playing a vital role in the development and expansion of our financial systems. Responsibilities include: Designing and implementing new financial products and features.
Building new tools, frameworks, and APIs for reporting and monitoring.
Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and senior leadership to translate our vision into deliverable results each quarter.
Enhancing developer efficiency and promoting engineering and operational excellence.
Providing support to operations and fellow engineering teams.
What we seek in you: You possess at least 2 years of software engineering experience. You have successfully designed, built, scaled, and maintained production services and understand service-oriented architectures. You are dedicated to writing high-quality, well-tested code that caters to customer needs. You are passionate about creating an open financial system that unites the globe. Preferred qualifications: Experience with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or Redshift.
Background in developing financial, high-reliability, or security systems.
Familiarity with blockchain technologies (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.).
