Our client is seeking 2 remote, contract-to-hire DevOps Engineers responsible for implementing, automating, and supporting the organization's development and infrastructure platforms. This role ensures the stability, scalability, and continuous improvement of technologies such as OpenStack, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Configuration as Code (CaC). The engineer integrates DevSecOps principles to embed security into the full development lifecycle and platform operations. Additionally, this role incorporates AI and Generative AI into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation to increase velocity, detect configuration drift, and enable intelligent, self-correcting DevOps workflows.
Duties and Responsibilities • Serve as an expert on DevOps processes and tooling, with a strong focus on continuous delivery, infrastructure automation, reliability, scalability, and performance optimization. • Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC and CaC tools such as Terraform, Terraform Enterprise, Ansible, and OpenStack. • Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (ADO), including artifact builds and publishing to JFrog Artifactory. • Manage GitOps-driven deployments and workflow automation using ArgoCD, Argo Workflow, AWX, and TerraKube. • Integrate and enforce DevSecOps and security best practices throughout DevOps pipelines, including secrets management, image validation, SAST/DAST scanning, and Policy as Code automation. • Collaborate on container orchestration strategies and platform design using Kubernetes and OpenStack to support scalable, resilient workloads. • Implement and maintain observability solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenSearch to support monitoring, logging, alerting, SLO tracking, and incident response. • Develop and maintain runbooks, internal documentation, onboarding guides, and operational knowledge bases for DevOps tools and platform practices. • Participate in DR planning, testing, and resiliency improvements across cloud and hybrid environments. • Implement cost monitoring and drive cloud/infrastructure optimization initiatives. • Collaborate with platform engineering, development, and security teams to support and evolve a reliable, secure, and efficient developer platform. • Continuously analyze and improve build, test, release, and deployment workflows to increase automation, reduce errors, and accelerate delivery cycles. • Engage in team retrospectives, architectural discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions to improve operational maturity and DevOps culture. • Remain current on DevOps trends, tools, automation strategies, and emerging best practices for potential adoption. • Define and implement automation strategies and improve infrastructure consistency, scalability, and manageability. • Use AI and Generative AI responsibly to enhance team efficiency, code quality, anomaly detection, and operational intelligence.
