We're seeking an experienced Power BI Developer/Architect to join our Los Angeles team for a 6-month engagement. You'll be responsible for designing and developing comprehensive business intelligence solutions, creating data models, and building interactive dashboards and reports that drive business decision-making.
What You'll Do:
Design and develop Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations Create and optimize data models using Power BI Desktop and Power Query Architect scalable Power BI solutions for enterprise-level reporting needs Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions Implement data governance best practices and security protocols Integrate Power BI with various data sources (SQL Server, Azure, SharePoint, etc.) Optimize report performance and troubleshoot data connectivity issues Provide training and support to end users on Power BI functionality Document technical specifications and maintain solution architecture What We're Looking For:
6+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI development Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power Query Proven experience as a Power BI Architect with complex solution design Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M language Knowledge of data modeling concepts and dimensional modeling Experience with SQL Server, Azure services, and data warehousing Understanding of ETL processes and data integration techniques Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Experience with agile development methodologies Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Power BI certifications Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics Familiarity with other BI tools (Tableau, QlikView) Understanding of data governance and security frameworks
