Summary: Meta is excited to invite a talented Production Systems & Software Engineering Manager to our dynamic Data Center Site Operations (SiteOps) team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the Systems & Software Engineering team responsible for enhancing the integration, performance, and alignment of crucial tooling, automation, and workflows that drive Site Operations. Your adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment will be key to your success. As a leader, you will manage Tooling and Systems engineers, applying your technical expertise to mentor and develop individual contributors. By forging strong relationships across cross-functional teams, you will enable Fleet and Strategic Tooling teams to provide signals-based support essential for tooling, automation, software, and mass production workflows, thus empowering our Global Operations. Collaboration is at the heart of this role. Partnering with Production Engineering (PE), Core Systems, and Enterprise Engineering (EE), you will ensure actionable insights are delivered while influencing roadmaps to support effective SiteOps Global Operations. We are searching for a proactive leader who can swiftly grasp complex technical challenges faced by subject-matter experts and local site teams. You will align globally distributed teams around common objectives, establish clear priorities, and secure buy-in from all stakeholders. Responsibilities: Develop and collaboratively own the roadmap for tooling, automation, processes, and workflows related to compute, storage, and accelerator delivery from Infrastructure into mass production deployments.
Establish processes and workflows to support Global Operations in achieving high Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for our compute, storage, and accelerator platforms.
Create strong relationships with engineering and cross-functional teams to actively solicit feedback and enhance operational effectiveness as our infrastructure scales.
Lead proactive identification and resolution of systemic issues within the fleet, ensuring optimal server fleet uptime and utilization rates by utilizing data for root cause analysis.
Provide effective people management, coaching, and career development, fostering a committed and impactful work environment.
Support leadership meetings and facilitate alignment on critical issues and opportunities.
Deliver timely alerts and data to empower cross-functional teams in developing necessary corrective actions and forward-looking implementations.
Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to interpret and express business and operational needs clearly.
Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: BS or BA in a technical field or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience managing teams in software design, workflows, and validation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready products.
Proven experience working within a global organization and fostering partnerships with diverse teams.
Demonstrated success in crafting and executing strategic roadmaps that facilitate organizational growth.
Strong capability in processing and analyzing large data sets.
In-depth knowledge of server and storage platforms, principles, technologies, protocols, and standards.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and adhering to tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in large-scale data center environments, including tooling and automation deployments.
Expertise in data center system development and workflows.
Strong leadership presence and presentation skills.
Compensation: $173,000/year to $245,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits Industry:
