globally recognised design and engineering organisation
to hire a
Principal Data Engineer
as part of a newly forming data and analytics function.
This is a genuine
ground-floor opportunity
to help build the organisation's modern data platform from scratch. You'll have ownership, influence, and long-term impact as the data foundation is established to support analytics, AI, and future decision-making at global scale.
The Role
As the Principal Data Engineer, you'll take end-to-end ownership of building and scaling a
Databricks-based data lakehouse . Working closely with analytics leadership and cross-functional teams, you'll turn complex, messy enterprise data into a reliable, scalable platform that the business will build on for years to come.
What You'll Be Doing Designing, building, and owning end-to-end data pipelines in
Databricks Expanding a cloud data lakehouse on
AWS Integrating data from enterprise systems (ERP, HR, CRM) Handling unstructured and inconsistent global data Establishing documentation, standards, and best practices Partnering with analytics, finance, and technology teams to enable future AI use cases What We're Looking For
7+ years' experience in data engineering or cloud data roles Strong experience with
Databricks, AWS, Snowflake Advanced
Python and SQL Experience integrating enterprise systems (ERP, Salesforce, Workday, etc.) Proven ability to own data pipelines end to end Comfortable operating as an early hire in a lean environment Why Apply?
