We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to join our team and oversee the daily operation, security, and recovery of our core infrastructure systems. This role is responsible for maintaining reliable server, backup, database, and cloud environments in collaboration with IT support, application, analytics, and operations teams. The Systems Administrator will lead infrastructure projects, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure our production systems remain secure, available, and recoverable.
Duties and Responsibilities: Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments Monitor and oversee production infrastructure, proactively identifying and resolving issues Manage backup and disaster recovery systems, including regular testing and validation of restore processes Provide advanced support for SQL Server environments, including performance tuning and monitoring Oversee Azure infrastructure management, networking, and deployment of cloud-hosted applications Serve as the escalation point for resolving advanced system and infrastructure issues Respond to and resolve production incidents and outages, ensuring minimal downtime Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable secure and efficient system access Coordinate with vendors and service providers for infrastructure solutions and support Document systems, procedures, and infrastructure changes for compliance and internal knowledge sharing Maintain a strong focus on system reliability, security, and risk reduction strategies Act as a technical lead for infrastructure platforms, mentoring junior staff and driving continuous improvement Administer O365 environments, including user management, licensing, and service configuration Provide ongoing support for email systems, ensuring reliability, security, and efficient mailbox management Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed:
Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and related infrastructure technologies Extensive experience administering and optimizing SQL Server environments Advanced proficiency with backup and disaster recovery solutions, including planning and execution Deep understanding of virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V Strong familiarity with Azure infrastructure, cloud services, and hybrid environments Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to issue resolution Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple infrastructure responsibilities in a dynamic environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present technical concepts clearly Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate and/or VMware Certified Professional certification preferred Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred or equivalent experience Minimum of 5 years of systems administration experience preferred Special Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as work demands, or as requested by Supervisor. Must be willing to accept "on call" duties as required by staff rotation. Must be available for occasional travel to remote offices, customer sites, seminars, etc.
