The City of Plano is seeking innovative and forward-thinking professionals to join our Technology Solutions Department as a Network Engineer. This position plays a critical role in supporting and advancing the City's networking infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology services for City departments and the community. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem solver with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering high-quality IT solutions in a public service environment.
As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, support, maintenance, and enhancement of the City's network systems. You will work closely with internal business partners and Technology Solutions teams to deliver effective technical solutions, improve business processes, and ensure IT services align with organizational goals. This role involves hands-on technical work, system analysis, documentation, testing, and providing guidance and support to team members and end users.

A successful Candidate will have:
An Associates or Bachelor's Degree 8 Years Experience (Bachelor's Degree can be substituted for up to 4 years) Experience in supporting :
Cisco Routers Cisco Catalyst Switches Cisco ACI Cisco ISE DNS & DHCP Cellular Mobile Routers Meraki Wireless Cisco CCNP (preferred) ISC2 Systems Security Practitioner (SSCP) In addition to the minimum qualifications for the position, a successful candidate will:
