Azure Orchestration:
Design and implement scalable data pipelines using
Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL, and Data Lake Storage.
Data Modeling:
Build and maintain robust dimensional models (Star/Snowflake schemas) optimized for enterprise-grade BI workloads.
Performance Engineering:
Develop and fine-tune T-SQL code, stored procedures, and views to ensure lightning-fast query performance.
BI Enablement:
Design and publish sophisticated
Power BI semantic models
, implementing best practices for DAX, M Query, and Row-Level Security (RLS).
Client Collaboration:
Act as a technical bridge, translating vague business requirements into concrete, actionable technical solutions.
Governance & DevOps:
Advocate for data quality and governance while contributing to CI/CD processes within an Agile/SCRUM framework.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Azure Expertise:
3+ years of hands-on experience building production-grade analytics solutions within the
Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
SQL Mastery:
Advanced proficiency in T-SQL development, query tuning, and performance optimization.
The Power BI Stack:
3+ years of experience with Power BI semantic models, dataflows, and complex DAX implementation.
Modern Data Warehousing:
A foundational understanding of dimensional modeling and scalable ELT/ETL patterns.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Lakehouse Architectures:
Experience with
Azure Databricks
or modern Delta Lake patterns.
DevOps:
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, and automated release pipelines.
Consulting DNA:
Prior experience in a client-facing or consulting environment is a significant plus.
